Watersheds 2045 Plan

The Chester County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt the new Watersheds 2045 plan, on January 24th 2024. Watersheds 2045 is Chester County’s revised integrated water resources plan. In addition, it will serve as the County-wide Act 167 plan (incorporating the 2022 County-wide Stormwater Model Ordinance) and the County-wide Rivers Conservation Plan. The plan and its associated appendices, along with an executive summary, are available at www.chesco.org/watersheds2045.

Watersheds 2045 has been endorsed by the CCWRA Board of Directors, the Chester County Planning Commission Board of Directors, the Chester County Conservation District, and the plan’s 30-member Steering Committee. The plan features 7 key goals that cover areas including public education, recreation, natural resource protection, water quality restoration, municipal planning, and sustainable water supply.
