Municipal Waste Management Plan

Under the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act, all Pennsylvania counties are obligated to prepare and revise a municipal waste management plan which establishes an appropriate system to ensure the proper management, collection, transporting, recycling and disposal of all municipal waste generated within the county. The plan must be updated every 10 years following Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's process.
